Straw from cereal grains may be used as feedstuff or taken-up by animals when used as bedding material. It was our objective to screen the occurrence of toxins in straw and to evaluate the potential relevance of toxin intake from straw. Samples were analysed for a spectrum of 13 trichothecene toxins, zearalenone (ZEA) and ochratoxin A (OA).
